What is Dragon vs. Kingdom?

Youโ€™re all leaders of a kingdom, and while reports of a dragon approaching have been confirmed, youโ€™ve still got a village to grow!

In this play-and-pass print-and-play, raise a tower to defend the village, build some houses to give the villagers a place to live, or open a shop near houses. You can also attack the dragon from your towers in range.

On one sheet, you’re the dragon instead! Once per round, move and attack the buildings that everyone else is building to score points.

Play simultaneously by taking 2 actions on your sheet, then pass it clockwise to head to a different area of the kingdom.

Sheets provided: five different map sheets, one scoreboard design for all players.

Components needed: one uniquely-colored marker or pen per player, one six-sided die.

This game is made to be easy to break out during a coffee break, as a light filler, while waiting for food at a restaurant, or even on a plane!

Tracking your score

As a Leader, you score points for building things.

Towers score 2 points when you draw them, plus 3 points for each damage they do to the Dragon.

Houses want to feel safe, so they score 1 point for every Tower that’s 1, 2, or 3 spaces away.ย Important: it does not matter who drew the Towers.

ย Shops want to be near Houses – the more Houses they’re near, the more points they score.ย Just like the Houses, it does not matter who drew the Houses.

As the Dragon, you score points forย destroyingย things (write the number of points scored in a blank star).

FAQ’s

What do I need to play?

The print-and-play file will have Letter-sized and A4-sized sheets. Just print off 2 sheets per player (a map sheet and a score sheet), then give each player a pen or marker of a unique color. You’ll need one six-sided die of any color, but ideally each player can have one.

How many players is it for?

Dragon vs. Kingdom is a game for 2-5 players.

Are these Letter or A4-sized sheets?

Both! All of our games have Letter and A4-sized PDF’s.

Is there a low-ink / black-and-white version?

Gฤ“se! (Yes in Old English)

All No Box Games have a full-color version and a low-ink version. Ink is expensive, so the low-ink / black-and-white version uses as little ink as possible while keeping some of the fun art to enjoy.
